It’s been awhile! We’ll have some new, longer-form material for you analyzing the education industry and how the workers within it can act to transform it. You can expect an essay that provides an overview of the political economy and class composition of the Washington, D.C., MD, and VA (DMV) region. For now, we have a few opportunities to demonstrate solidarity with Palestinian workers and the Minnesota 15. In addition, we’ve included an announcement about the IWW’s Fire Your Boss Tour.

This fundraiser is facilitated by the Palestinian Postal Service Workers Union (PPSWU) and is recommended by the Industrial Workers of the World’s (IWW) International Committee.

Here is the PPSWU’s description of how the money will be used. Those of you who are education workers should pay special attention to their connection to the Kindergarten Workers’ Union.

“Warm greetings from Palestine.

Regarding the fundraising effort, we deeply appreciate this initiative and your solidarity with our people during these difficult times. We would like to kindly propose launching a campaign to support the following urgent needs:

1. Providing job opportunities and humanitarian aid for workers in the technology, telecommunications, and postal sectors, by contributing to partial salary payments for affected workers.
2. Supporting the Kindergarten Workers’ Union, whose members are all women. The union is struggling to rebuild its internal structure and hold its general conference, as most of its members have lost their jobs and urgently need assistance.
3. Launching a recovery and peace education program for schoolchildren and teenagers in southern Hebron, to help them overcome the psychological effects of war, continue their education, and promote a culture of peace and resilience.
4. Organizing the General Conference of the Postal Workers Union, which is a critical step in strengthening our organizational structure and future advocacy.

These initiatives will be implemented based on the amount of funds raised. We also welcome any direct oversight or involvement from your side in the execution of these programs.

Solidarity with the Minnesota 15!

On the morning of June 16th 2026 fifteen anti-ICE organizers were indicted on federal conspiracy charges in Minnesota, 12 of whom were arrested in aggressive raids across the Twin Cities. This fundraiser is organized by the friends and family of the defendants, all funds raised will go directly to support the defendants through their trial.

In his press conference, Trump’s US District Attorney Daniel Rosen tried to smear these fifteen defendants by alleging that they are the ones who are really putting the community in danger and not ICE. These 15 defendants are members of our community -- they are workers, union members, tradespeople and educators, musicians and artists; they are people who know their neighbors and who care about them, who stood up with the rest of us to oppose the federal invasion of our cities.

These are not just arrests; this is an attack on our neighbors, coworkers, family and friends, and an attack on anyone who stands in solidarity with them. This is an attempt to intimidate us. We have to show the federal government that we stand with the defendants, and with each other. The 15 defendants are facing serious charges and have a long legal battle ahead of them.
